OUR STORY
A Journey of Innovation
Viking Craft began with a passion for crafting live edge furniture, which soon evolved into a thriving business supplying high-quality dried lumber to artisans across Canada.
After facing constant delays due to unreliable sawmills, we took matters into our own hands and built a custom mill designed for continuous operation with no breakdowns.
Featuring innovations like inertia-based milling and zero-flex beds, our mill is efficient, field-repairable, and capable of handling large logs, allowing us to focus on growing our business.
Once we proved our mill's durability, we expanded our designs into three models—Maxi, Mini, and Micro—tailored to meet the specific needs of the milling community.
Each model follows our commitment to quality, competitive pricing, and consistent availability, serving different segments of the industry and ensuring reliable production for all.

Our Mission

Viking Sawmills: Built for Reliability and Efficiency
When purchasing a sawmill, the weight and size of the logs are critical factors. The machine you need depends on the logs you’re milling, and the quality of the mill determines efficiency, durability, and overall performance. Viking Sawmills has taken all these aspects into account, producing mills with a robust design, zero-flex bases, and the ability to mill continuously without downtime. Our sawmills provide sawyers peace of mind, knowing their investment is in a machine that will deliver the performance and reliability needed for consistent production.
ease of use
Milling logs requires precision and reliability. Viking mills are built to handle large logs without buckling, ensuring smooth, wide cuts with no need for constant adjustments. Equipped with powerful hydraulics for lifters, clamps, and rollers, log positioning is effortless. Our mills feature standard electric powerhead movement for precise cuts and sawhead movement for consistent results. With inertia-based milling powered by V-Twin 690 Honda motors and Viking Carbide blades, cutting through timber is seamless.
investment
Cost is a significant factor, and we at Viking Mills have priced our sawmills to offer exceptional value. Profit margins do not drive our design decisions; instead, we focus on delivering reliability, continuous production, ease of use, and no breakdown costs. Our mills provide peace of mind with a guaranteed return on investment that outperforms competitors. Proudly made in Canada with Canadian steel and materials, we stand by our products, confident they offer unparalleled value for money.
